Several rain chances, up and down temperatures
There is a Marginal to Slight Risk for severe storms overnight from SE Missouri east into southern Illinois, NW Tennessee, and Kentucky. The better chance will be in the yellow shaded “Slight Risk” area in Kentucky as the storms get going after 1AM. Hail, damaging wind, and isolated tornadoes will be possible through very early Thursday morning.
Temperatures will remain fairly steady as we go through Thursday. Lots of clouds and on and off showers and storms are expected.
Below is our StormCast weather model showing timing and duration of the rain chances.
Rainfall won’t amount to much after it’s all said and done, but if you catch yourself under a thunderstorm, rainfall amounts will be higher.
As the frontal boundaries move through, the wind will start to pick up. Wind gusts nearing 20 mph will be possible by Thursday afternoon.
