Severe storms possible through this weekend
There is a level 1 “Marginal Risk” for severe storms on Saturday. Damaging wind gusts, quarter size hail and heavy rainfall are the main concerns.
Through tonight, a few isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible in SE Missouri. Saturday afternoon and evening, a few thunderstorms will develop across the region and some could become strong to severe by the evening hours in parts of Kentucky, SE Missouri and Southern Illinois.
Quarter size hail or greater will be associated with some stronger storms.
Winds up to 60+ mph will be a concern with these storms as well.
Saturday afternoon, high temperatures reaching the upper 80s and lower 90s once again across the region. The hot and muggy conditions continue!
Temperatures will feel like the triple digits for most of us Saturday.
Sunday, there is another MARGINAL risk for severe weather across the region. Main concerns will be gusty winds, small hail and flooding concerns.
This weekend, storms look to be likely on the strong to severe side. These storms will develop in the afternoon and evening hours, with the main concerns being winds up to 60+ mph, quarter size hail and possible flooding in low lying areas. Next week, the unsettled weather pattern continues, bringing isolated rain and storm chances every day.
