Severe storms possible Tuesday afternoon
There is a level 1 “Marginal Risk” for severe storms on Tuesday. Damaging wind gusts, lightning and heavy rainfall are the main concerns.
Winds up to 60+ mph will be the main concern with any strong storms.
Isolated and scattered thunderstorms will develop across the region in the early afternoon and evening hours Tuesday. Expect heavy rainfall, lightning, quarter size hail and winds up to 60+ mph with these thunderstorms.
All of us will be waking up to temperatures in the upper 60s and lower 70s under partly sunny skies. By the afternoon, isolated rain showers and storms will develop and temperatures will warm up into the upper 80s.
Tuesday afternoon, high temperatures reaching the upper 80s and lower 90s once again across the region.
Everyday has a chance for some scattered rain showers and storms across the region. Wednesday, more widespread storms will be present throughout the afternoon. Temperatures will warm back up into the lower 90s by Friday.
