Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 11 a.m. Friday morning – May 16, 2025
The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch through our area until 11 a.m. Friday morning (May 16, 2025).
Primary threats early Friday include scattered large hail up to 2″ in diameter, scattered damaging winds up to 70 mph and a tornado or two is possible.
Scattered severe thunderstorms are expected to develop and move rapidly northeast across the watch area early this morning. Large hail and damaging thunderstorm gusts will be the primary concerns, although a tornado or two will also be possible.
There is also ANOTHER risk for severe weather Friday afternoon into the night, so stay weather aware THROUGHOUT THE DAY.
