Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 8:00pm on Sunday

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in place until 8:00pm Sunday July 2, 2023. Parts of SE Missouri, southern Illinois, Western Kentucky and NW Tennessee are in this Watch.

The SPC has been updated, parts of Western Kentucky are now in an Enhanced Risk for Severe Weather (level 3/5) throughout Sunday. Much of the KBSI viewing area is also included in a Slight (level 2/5) and Marginal Risk (level 1/5).

Strong to severe storms are likely. Damaging wind speeds, large hail and an isolated tornado are possible Sunday afternoon into the evening hours. The Storm Alert Team is tracking this system as it passes through our area.
