Severe Thunderstorm Watch until noon Thursday

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued to include Perry and Jefferson counties in southern Illinois until noon Thursday.
This watch includes portions of central and south-central Illinois and central and eastern Missouri through the morning. These thunderstorms have had a history of stronger winds, while also watching out for a few instances of hail possible.
Primary threats include scattered damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph is likely with isolated very large hail events up to two inches in diameter.
A line of strong to severe thunderstorms initially over central/southwestern Missouri is expected to continue moving rapidly east-northeastward through the rest of this morning.
This watch means conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
