Severe weather expected Wednesday evening

Tuesday, a warm day with a few spotty showers in the afternoon. Wednesday, severe storms will develop in the evening hours and move east through Wednesday night. The main concerns will be winds up to 70+ mph, large hail and a few tornadoes possible. After Wednesday, we finally dry out and warm up into the low to mid 90s with plenty of sunshine.

Tuesday morning, temperatures will be just like last night, in the upper 60s and lower 70s for all of us.

Southwest winds will be relatively calm throughout your Tuesday.

Tuesday, high temperatures will be a few degrees warmer in the mid to upper 80s under partly sunny skies. This will be the start of a decent warming trend.

Wednesday, a SLIGHT risk for severe weather is in place across the viewing area. A line of storms will move through Wednesday evening into Wednesday night. The main concerns will be winds up to 70+ mph, large hail and a few tornadoes possible.

StormCast shows cloudy skies Tuesday morning with sunshine coming out by the mid afternoon. A few isolated showers could develop with heavy rain cores. Wednesday evening, a front will move in from the NW in parts of SE Missouri. This line of storms will quickly move in by Wednesday evening through Wednesday night. These storms will lead to flooding across the region through Wednesday night.

Rainfall totals through Wednesday night are ranging from 0.50″- 1.75″+. Rain showers and storms will have heavy downpours, which will lead to flash flooding across the region.
