Showers and storms continue into the weekend

Storm chances continue nearly everyday. Temperatures remain warm in the lower 90s and upper 80s.

Another warm day ahead as temperatures are expected to reach the upper 80s and lower 90s.

As a storm system arrives overnight Thursday into Friday morning we see chances for storm activity. As the system continues to move SE we will see mostly cloudy skies with a chance for lingering storms in the afternoon before another system arrives in the late evening hours.

Friday’s storm chances have parts of SE Missouri in a Marginal Risk (level 2/5) strong to severe storms and excessive rain are the biggest threats at this time. The Storm Alert Team will continue to track this system as it arrives.

Due to the muggy weather, warm temperatures and precipitation the next three days will have a high ranking for mosquito activity.

Storms are possible nearly everyday in the incoming forecast, temperatures will cool off heading into next week.
