Slightly Cooler Sunday, Warm Up Next Week
Temperatures will linger in the 40s for a little bit longer before we see the upper 30s by the end of our Saturday.
The latest runs of StormCast show a brief chance for a shower later this evening, but most of us remain dry heading into Sunday.
Low temperatures across the Heartland will fall close to average in the middle and upper 20s to lower 30s.
Cloud cover will increase throughout the evening in Cape Girardeau with a chance for a few sprinkles. Winds will continue to pick up, gusting to 25 miles per hour.
Sunday will mark another day close to average for the Heartland with most of us in the lower to middle 40s.
After a cloudy start, we should see some sunshine in Cape for Sunday afternoon. Despite the sunshine, strong winds out of the northwest will limit our afternoon temperatures to the lower 40s.
Temperatures continue to climb for the start of the work week, reaching their peak on Tuesday in the upper 50s. We see a chance for rain on Wednesday with a passing front as temperatures fall into the 30s and 40s for the back half of the upcoming week.
