Small Chance Late Friday, Cooler Weekend Ahead
Temperatures will be mild for the rest of Friday, with temperatures in the 40s and 50s.
Low temperatures will be close to average in the 30s with a light north-northeasterly breeze.
Mostly cloudy skies are ahead for the overnight hours in Cape Girardeau, with a small chance of precipitation.
The latest runs of StormCast are picking up on the overnight chances for precipitation. Overnight temperatures are expected to stay above freezing, which should keep our precipitation type as rain, though a flurry or two cannot be ruled out.
A cooler weekend is ahead across the Heartland with below-average temperatures on the way. A few of us may see a couple of sprinkles early Saturday morning with increasing sunshine for the rest of the weekend.
Highs on Saturday will fall below our average mark across the Heartland, only reaching the middle 40s.
We may see a little sunshine poke out by Saturday afternoon, though our temperatures in Cape will struggle to get out of the middle 40s.
Temperatures continue to drop heading into Sunday and Monday, with highs returning to the 30s. Temperatures look to recover by the middle of next week, joined by small rain chances.
