Still Above Average, Though Slightly Cooler Through Labor Day
Relatively cooler, though still a hot early September day on tap for Sunday in the Heartland. While highs will be a couple of degrees cooler, we are still going to be well above average for this time of year.
Storm chances on Sunday will stay west of the viewing area, according to the latest run of StormCast.
Still little relief expected overnight as temperatures only fall ot the lower and middle 70s across the viewing area.
Expect partly cloudy skies heading into the start of the day on Sunday in Cape Girardeau. Overnight temperatures will drop to the mid-70s.
Most of us will see slightly cooler weather on Sunday, though still far above our average highs for the first week of September. Afternoon temperatures will range from the lower to middle 90s.
Plenty of sunshine on Sunday in Cape, though anyone with outdoor plans should be prepared for temperatures in the lower 90s and feels-like temperatures in the upper 90s.
Looking ahead to Labor Day, most of us should see slightly cooler weather in the Heartland.
Heat and humidity build once again for the middle of this week before small chances for showers and storms enter the forecast. These will bring highs back down to the lower 90s by next weekend.
