Storm Chances Continue Overnight, Into Monday
Forecast:
Mostly cloudy skies with low temperatures in the middle and upper 60s across the Heartland on Sunday evening. Storms will be possible through the overnight hours and into the morning hours on Monday.
Stormcast shows chances for showers and thunderstorms throughout the day on Monday and into Tuesday morning. 1-2 inches of rainfall remain possible for Cape Girardeau through Tuesday afternoon.
Highs tomorrow will be in the low 80s in Cape with mostly cloudy skies joined by frequent showers and thunderstorms.
Rainfall continues to be much needed, particularly in the bootheel of Missouri and northwest Tennessee. 1-2 inches of rainfall will be possible across our area with the latest couple of rounds of severe weather. Flash flooding could become a concern with repeated rounds of rain over the next couple of days.
High temperatures across the Heartland will be in the upper 70s and lower to mid-80s on Monday. Mostly cloudy skies will blanket the region with chances for showers and thunderstorms throughout the day.
There is a small chance of severe weather on Tuesday for our area, with a MARGINAL RISK (Level 1 out of 5) of severe weather issued by the Storm Prediction Center.
An active weather pattern continues to bring storm chances to our area through the majority of the next week. High temperatures will cool into the upper 70s before sunshine a slight warm up returns next weekend.
