Storms becoming likely Tuesday and Wednesday

Strong to severe storms will be possible Tuesday and Wednesday, with a little higher risk on Wednesday. Temperatures will be very warm until all of the storms move through. We then cool off by the end of the week.

Storms are going to be moving into our area very early Tuesday morning. There will be a small risk that some of these may be severe. After that round, we pause on storms until later in the afternoon, when more storms will form and quickly move east and northeast. These storms will have a risk for being severe as well.

It’s going to be very warm on Tuesday. With a south wind at 10 to 25 mph, highs will be in the middle 80s.

Our next chance for severe weather is Wednesday. Several storms are going to be possible and any of them may become severe.

Above is what our StormCast weather model has for timing and severity of the storms on Wednesday. Large hail, damaging wind, and tornadoes will be possible.

After Wednesday, storms quiet down for a while and we cool off through the rest of the week.
