Storms possible Thursday, then much cooler
Most of Thursday is going to be quiet and mild, but storms will roll in late afternoon and into the evening. Some of those may be severe. We then dry out and cool off into the weekend and next week.
The storms won’t drop a LOT of rain in our area, but a quarter to a half inch will be possible. Heavier rain is more likely to the north.
The best chance for rain will be late afternoon into the evening hours.

There is a level 3 “Enhanced Risk” for severe storms in our area Thursday. Several severe storms will be possible.
There is a 2-5% chance for a tornado with these storms.
Large hail is also a possibility.
There is a higher risk for straight line winds in excess of 60 mph with these storms.
High temperatures will be well above average, but after the cold front and storms roll through, much cooler air will filter in.
