Sunny, Pleasant Fall Weather Through This Week
Beautiful fall weather remains in place for our Tuesday, with plenty of sunshine in the Heartland. Keep a couple of layers handy for the morning commute, though temperatures quickly warm up through the day.
The latest runs of StormCast continue to keep our chances for rain quiet through Tuesday and into Wednesday morning.
Temperatures are expected to drop to the middle and upper 40s for most of the viewing area. This will put us close to average for mid-October for our overnight lows.
Cloud cover will increase through the overnight with a few areas of patchy fog possible in the Cape Girardeau area. Temperatures will fall to the middle 40s for the start of Tuesday.
Pleasant temperatures sweep across the Heartland on Tuesday afternoon! Winds stay light under mostly sunny skies.
Arguably a top-10 day on tap for Cape, with highs in the 70s and winds on the lighter side.
We will add a couple more degrees to those highs on Wednesday for good measure. Plenty of sunshine will stick around for Wednesday afternoon as well.
Highs will stay in the mid-to-upper 70s for the rest of the work week. Get used to plenty of afternoon sunshine; our chances for rain look to be few and far between over the next seven days.
