A pleasant late-October day is in store for the rest of Thursday across the Heartland. Temperatures are expected to quickly cool into the 40s and 50s after sunset.
A Frost Advisory is in place for portions of our viewing area due to low temperatures this evening that are expected to reach the middle and upper-30s. Any outdoor vegetation that is susceptible to the cold should be covered up or moved indoors.
Low temperatures tonight will fall into the 30s for most, but those to the south and west will stay above 40 degrees.
Temperatures will drop to the upper 30s in Cape tonight with mostly clear skies and a light breeze.
Stormcast keeps us dry for the rest of Thursday, with passing showers entering the region on Friday afternoon.

Plenty of opportunities for rain for Cape Girardeau over the upcoming week, as much of our viewing area remains under some form of drought. For this weekend, the best chance at seeing rain comes late Saturday into early Sunday. Temperatures will linger in the upper 50s and lower-to-mid 60s through the end of next week.
