Sunny Thursday, Storm Chances by Friday
Slightly warmer and breezy for Thursday with plenty of sunshine. Clouds will increase throughout the day, but overall, we are looking at a nice afternoon ahead across the Heartland.
Outside of variable cloud cover, the latest runs of StormCast keep us dry through the day on Thursday.
Mild overnight lows are expected across the Heartland, with many of us seeing the 50s through the overnight hours.
Clear skies are expected on Wednesday evening and into the day on Thursday. Temperatures are expected to stay mild for Cape Girardeau.
Highs on Thursday will be close to 10 degrees above average for most of the viewing area.
A little breezy, but the warmer temperatures and sunshine remain the headlines for Thursday’s forecast in Cape.
Our next chances at showers and thunderstorms will arrive Friday evening as a cold front descends south across the region.
Temperatures are expected to climb to the 80s and stay there through the weekend. Another round of showers and potentially a few storms arrives for the start of next week.
