Sunshine, Close to Average for Sunday
Keep a light jacket handy for any Saturday evening plans as temperatures slowly fall into the 40s tonight in Cape Girardeau.
High temperatures in the Heartland were pleasant today, with many of us seeing the 50s and 60s.
Overnight temperatures look to be close to average in the upper 20s and lower 30s.
We see the lower 30s tonight in Cape with a light northerly wind and mostly clear skies.
Continuing on the trend of being close to average, high temperatures tomorrow will stay true to our expected temperatures for late December.
We start the day just below freezing in Cape before temperatures climb to the mid-40s with plenty of sunshine for Sunday afternoon.
The latest runs of StormCast keep us dry on Sunday, but chances for rain increase by the time we get to Mondy afternoon.
Temperatures continue to warm as we start the work week. Highs will be in the 50s and 60s leading up to Christmas with a chance of rain late Monday into Tuesday. We have a chance at record-setting heat on Christmas day, with forecast highs in the lower 70s.
