High temperatures look to be above average to start the work week, with many of us in the 50s.

Cloud cover will build throughout the day in Cape Girardeau with strong winds out of the south pushing our afternoon temperatures into the 50s. Chances for a sprinkle or two slowly increase Monday evening.

The latest runs of StormCast show a chance for very scattered showers throughout Monday afternoon and evening. Most of us look to stay dry, but nonetheless, a sprinkle or two will be possible.

Another small chance of rain on Tuesday evening as temperatures continue to climb as we get closer to Christmas all the way into the 60s and 70s. Certainly shorts weather for Christmas day as we could come close to setting a new record high! A few more warm days as everyone travels home after the holidays before another chance of rain next weekend as temperatures look to return close to average.
