Thunderstorm Chances and Heat (8/2/22)
Showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast for just about every day over the next several days, but Wednesday’s chances will hold off until the evening and overnight hours.
Storms will then be on and off through the rest of the week with chances continuing into the weekend.
Temperatures are going to cool off a little, but not until we get past Wednesday. On Wednesday, it’s going to be hot and humid, once again.
Factor in the high dewpoints, and we get a heat index that will be uncomfortable and dangerously high.
After Wednesday, we do cool off a little, with highs in the 80s for a couple of days! We do warm back up into the 90s by the weekend.
With the heat, humidity, and potential for standing water, the Skeeter Meter remains high.
