Tornado Watch until 4 a.m. Thursday for southern SEMO

A Tornado Watch has been issued through portions of the Missouri Bootheel until 4 a.m. Thursday.

A band of storms is spreading east and southeast through the next several hours, posing a severe threat to the area.

A couple tornadoes, damaging winds and large hail are all possible through the overnight hours as these storms move through.

Damaging winds will be the main threat as these storms start to congeal into somewhat of a line, but the strongest embedded storms could produce large hail and a couple of tornadoes.
