Tornado Watch through Wednesday evening – May 8, 2024

A TORNADO WATCH is in place for much of the KBSI viewing area through Wednesday evening, May 8, 2024.

Primary threats during this timeframe will include a few tornadoes (a couple of which could be intense), large hail up to 3″ in diameter, and damaging wind gusts up to 80 mph.

Above is what our StormCast model is showing for the storm potential through this evening. Any storm that forms may have large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes within them.

Storms late Wednesday morning were seen in Missouri and expected to spread east-southeast toward southern Illinois, southern Missouri and western Kentucky.
