Tornado Watch until 8 a.m. Tuesday morning

A Tornado Watch has been issued for portions of southeast Missouri, southern Illinois and western Kentucky until 8 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Primary threats include a couple tornadoes possible, scattered damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph likely and scattered large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible.
Severe thunderstorms with the risk of damaging winds and a couple tornadoes will continue overnight across southern Illinois.
A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area. If you are in these areas, be on the lookout for threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible warnings.
