Tuesday Forecast (4/12/2022)
Showers and a few thunderstorms will be possible early Tuesday, but most of the day is looking quiet, cloudy, breezy, and mild. Highs are expected to be in the upper 70s with a gusty southeast wind at 10 to 25 mph. The threat for severe storms will stay to the west for most of the day, but could make it into central Missouri during the very early morning hours on Wednesday.
Wednesday will have the chance at seeing quite a bit of severe weather. Weaker storms will be around early Wednesday morning, those will then clear out and make way for a cold front to push through Wednesday afternoon and evening. This cold front along with a very unstable atmosphere will give us a good chance for severe storms with hail, damaging wind, flooding rains, and tornadoes all possible. In fact, severe weather will be possible from southern Wisconsin to Louisiana, with us right in the middle of it all. Having a way to be alerted should severe weather move into your area will be important.
