Tuesday Morning and Afternoon Storms, Cooling Down Wednesday
Scattered severe storms will be possible across the Heartland on Tuesday during the late morning and early afternoon hours. A Slight Risk (Level 2 out of 5) is in place for the majority of the viewing area, with large hail and damaging winds the main concerns.

Expect a very mild start to our Tuesday morning with temperatures only falling to the 70s for most.
A few showers are possible early this evening in Cape Girardeau, but the majority of the night will feature partly cloudy skies.
Another warm day is expected to join our chances for showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday afternoon. Highs will range from the lower 80s to the lower 90s.
We are looking at the mid-80s on Tuesday in Cape with chances for showers and thunderstorms peaking during the late morning and early afternoon hours.
Temperatures cool off for the rest of the work week with highs falling to the 70s. Chances for storms will stick around through next weekend and potentially into Memorial Day.
