Warm and muggy with rain chances Wednesday
Flash Flood Warning for Southern Jackson County in southern Illinois, Union County in southern Illinois, Southwestern Williamson County in southern Illinois, Northeastern Bollinger County in southeastern Missouri, Northern Cape Girardeau County in southeastern Missouri, and Perry County in southeastern Missouri until 545 AM CDT Wednesday. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have already fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area through early Wednesday morning. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
Another day below average for highs. It won’t be hot, but it’ll be muggy!
The dew point will be well into the 70s for much of the day.
These high dew points will get our heat index very close to 90 degrees by the afternoon.
Along with the muggy high temperatures, there is a decent chance for rain on and off.
After the rain chances on Wednesday, we dry out and cool off for Thursday and Friday!
