Warm for now, cooler air next week (10/20/22)
The average high this time of year is in the upper 60s but we’re going to be well above that all the way through the weekend. We’ll also see plenty of sunshine and not a lot of wind. If you have any outdoor plans this weekend, the weather won’t be an issue!
Early morning temperatures on Thursday (above) were COLD! Record lows were set in Mt. Vernon, Carbondale, Paducah, and Cape Girardeau. That should just about do it for record lows for a while, warmer weather is on the way.
Highs the next several days will be in the 70s, with an 80 on Sunday! We get a chance for rain early next week and after the cold front responsible for the rain potential moves through, we’ll see cooler air move in. By the middle of next week, highs will be below average.
