Warm Start to October Continues on Thursday
Forecast:
Temperatures remain on the warmer side in early October, with highs on Thursday still reaching the upper 80s. Plenty of sunshine across the Heartland will keep temperatures close to 10 degrees above average.
Stormcast shows a few clouds this afternoon, as well as a small chance for a shower. Most of us are expected to remain dry, but those particularly in our northeast counties may see a brief shower.
Warmer temperatures carry over into our low temperatures this evening with mostly clear skies. Most of us will reach the lower and middle 60s tonight.
We see a smooth start to our Friday in Cape with mostly sunny skies. Temperatures for the morning commute will be in the mid-60s and lower 70s.
Mostly sunny skies continue throughout the day Friday, with our high temperature in Cape Girardeau topping out in the mid-80s.
Above-average temperatures continue throughout the Heartland on Friday.
Warmer temperatures continue through the weekend before slowly falling at the start of next week. Storm chances reach the Heartland next week, peaking on Tuesday, with temperatures falling into the 70s on Wednesday.
