Warm Tuesday, storms Wednesday
We have one more very warm day on tap, then cooler air starts to move in on Wednesday. We’ll still be close to normal for highs, but the 90s will be done for a while. Storms become more likely Wednesday and beyond. Severe storms will be possible Wednesday, as well.
It’s going to be hot on Tuesday. The record high is 95 set in 1987 and we’ll be close to that!
The dewpoint is going to be warm, too. Middle and upper 60s are expected.
With the heat and humidity, the heat index will be pushing into the middle 90s. Stay hydrated!
A cold front will then move through early Wednesday morning. This is expected to be non-severe.
Severe storms are expected Wednesday afternoon and evening. Large hail and damaging wind will be possible with an isolated tornado not out of the question.
Because of the severe weather potential, our entire viewing area is already in a level 2 “Slight Risk” for severe storms Wednesday afternoon and evening.
After Wednesday, more storms are possible Thursday and Friday, with just a small storm chance over the holiday weekend.
