Warm weekend, storms on Sunday

Another mild day is expected to start the weekend. Highs will be 25 degrees above the average high!
Sunday will be just as warm, if not warmer. It’s the last of the very warm temperatures, though, as a cold front is headed our way during the day.
As the cold front moves across the area, showers and thunderstorms will be possible. After the cold front rolls through, a few snow showers will be possible on the back end.
As the storms move across the area, a couple of the storms may be strong to severe. Because of this, a level 1 of 5 Marginal risk for severe weather is in place.
After the cold front moves through, it is going to be MUCH colder on Monday. Highs may not make it into the 30s.
We don’t warm up much next week after Monday, either. 30s and 40s for highs are expected all the way into the new year.
