Warming trend through midweek (1/8/23)
Overcast skies stuck around for most of the day Sunday, keeping temperatures from changing much. Low temperatures were in the upper 30s while our high temperatures were in the mid 40s. What started as a dreary weekend, ended as a dreary weekend. Temperatures will be rebounding into the 50s to start the new week.
In the short term, overnight temperatures will cool into the upper 20s and lower 30s. With calm winds and cooler temperatures, patchy areas of fog are likely to develop through the morning.
The next few days are rain-free, including most of Wednesday, so I’ve included the green to “go” get a carwash if needed! The warming trend will end by Wednesday as temperatures get back into the 60s as we experience some settling from high pressure being in place.
The system that comes midweek Wednesday night into Thursday could have some thunder associated with it. Rainfall could be on the order of a half inch or more, especially with some locally heavier pockets of rain as this system moves quickly through the area.
Temperatures after that will be near-normal for a time, keeping next weekend dry for now.
