Warming up through next rain chances, but cooler air around the corner (12/11/22)

Many of our mornings lately have started out misty and foggy. Monday morning will be no different. There will be a chance for some fog early, with clouds sticking around through most of the day once again. We could see a bit more clearing later in the afternoon as temperatures try to sneak into the 50s, but that could be a small chance for some of us.

Ahead of our next storm system, temperatures are going to be seasonably cool Monday afternoon but will continue to rise through the middle of next week. With some warm air transported from southern winds in front of our next front, we are likely to see temperatures in the upper 50s and lower 60s.

With those temperatures, rain is likely through this system, with most of the rain coming Tuesday night into Wednesday. It is possible with some locally heavier storms to see 1-1.5″ of rain over the next few days.

But on the backside of that system the colder air comes in. By the end of the week, we’ll be back in the 40s. Even by next weekend, temperatures could drop into the 30s for a high as we quiet down again, mixing in more sunshine.
