Wednesday Showers Continue, Mostly Sunny for Thursday
A cloudy and rainy day continues across the Heartland, with much of our area continuing to see some much-needed precipitation. Above are a few rain totals across the region as of 3 p.m. CDT.
Above is the afternoon run of Stormcast showing chances for showers throughout the rest of the day on Wednesday. Clear skies are expected to return to the forecast by Thursday.
It is unlikely that we will get much warmer the rest of the day, with temperatures in the lower 50s and upper 40s this evening.
Low temperatures this evening are expected to drop to the lower 40s for most, although a few spots may reach the 30s.
Expect showers to continue this evening, followed by mostly cloudy skies. A strong northerly wind for Cape Girareau this evening with lows in the lower 40s.
High temperatures on Thursday will still be close to 10 degrees below average, thanks to another day of strong winds from the north.
On the plus side for Thursday, mostly sunny skies return after a cloudy and rainy Wednesday. Highs in Cape will reach the mid-50s.
The temperatures return to the 60s briefly for Halloween on Friday before being spooked back down to the upper 50s for the upcoming weekend. A small chance of evening showers on Saturday, with the forecast staying dry for the first half of next week. Temperatures look to rebound closer to average in the lower-to-mid 60s during the first half of the next work week.
