Weekend Storm Potential (5/13/22)
The weekend is going to be a few degrees above average for the high temperature (we should be around 77 degrees), but nothing like the 90s we had earlier this week!
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are going to be possible this weekend, but it won’t be a complete wash out. The best chance on Saturday will be in the morning, but a few isolated storms may pop up on and off during the day and into the evening. Highs will be in the middle 80s with a light NW breeze.
Most of Sunday will be dry, as well, with highs also in the middle 80s. However, a frontal boundary will push in late in the afternoon and into the evening hours giving us a chance at some strong to severe storms. Hail and damaging wind will be the main concerns.
As we head into next week, temperatures cool off on Monday and Tuesday with highs in the lower 80s and partly cloudy skies.
