Winter Weather Advisory in effect Monday for slushy snow
A Winter Weather Advisory will go into effect late Monday morning until midnight Tuesday across southern Missouri and western Kentucky.
Wet snow is expected with total accumulations up to an inch possible. A narrow band of snow could have snowfall rates up to 1-2″ per hour, and where that sets up will be where locally higher amounts will set up.
There is still some uncertainty as to where that sets up this afternoon into tonight. But be prepared for slushy conditions and slippery road conditions.
A small shift in this band either north or south will make all the difference in where travel impacts are for the evening commute. How much rain mixes in before more of a transition to snow will also cut into total amounts.
