Fugitive wanted on rape charge, another man arrested in Carlisle County

CARLISLE COUNTY, Ky. (KBI) – Sheriff’s deputies arrested a fugitive wanted on a rape charge and a man accused of helping him hide on Saturday in Carlisle County

James Howell, 30, of Arlington was wanted on a rape 1st degree charge that a Carlisle County Grand Jury indicted him on in January.

Hunter Green, 29, of Arlington was also found in the home. Green was arrested and charged with hindering prosecution or apprehension 1st degree class D felony.

On Saturday, February 12, the Carlisle County Sheriff’s Office received information that a fugitive was hiding at a home on County Road 1235 in Carlisle County. Deputies and Troopers from the Kentucky State Police responded to the location Howell.

Interviews conducted with additional people at the home and with Green yielded information that Green was actively assisting James Howell.

Both suspects were taken to the McCracken County Jail.

James Howell was being held on a $25,000.

No bond information was available Green.
