SEMO $32K shy of Giving Day goal

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) -Tomorrow, Southeast Missouri State University kicks off a year-long celebration of its 150-year history of educating students and helping launch their careers.

Wednesday’s “birthday party’ coincides with the university’s annual Giving Day.

SEMO’s one-day goal of donations to support students is set at $150,000 to celebrate its milestone birthday.

To date, the university has raised more than $118,000 of that goal.

If the goal is attained, another $10,000 in challenge dollars from a generous, anonymous donor will be unlocked.
