Children’s Division Presents first annual Child Abuse Prevention Family Fun Day

PIEDMONT, Mo. (KBSI) – April is child abuse awareness month and the Children’s Division in Piedmont, Missouri will be hosting their first ever Family Fun Day to increase awareness.

It will feature law enforcement vehicles, a fire truck, helicopter, and ambulance for the kids to look at and explore, along with lots of other activities.

Children’s Division Supervisor Dawn Fuller says she hopes this event builds trust between the Children’s Division and the community.

“I really hope that we can get the word out you know it it takes a village to raise our children and you know we need to make sure that we’re protecting them you know they’re going to be our future and so we’re hoping by promoting this um and having this event maybe even next year as well is you know people are going to realize children’s division is there to help the community and maybe if they report what they see or hear that we can protect our children,” said Fuller.

The event will be held on April 15th from 2 pm to 5 pm at Pine Hill Drive Inn.
