Trinity Lutheran Church plays Taps for Taps Across America

Cape Girardeau, Mo. (KBSI) – Trinity Lutheran Church participated in the Taps Across America, a National Moment of Remembrance event.
At 3 pm Memorial Day, Trinity Lutheran and thousands across the United States played taps.
Rick Wieser, director of brass, says along with playing taps they had a chair to represent the memory of those who served.
“As many people as possible and it was natural that we asked our congregation here at church to participate and it was great to see them come out,” said Wieser.
This year was the first year that the church invited the church members to watch the play.
Members like Bill Adams and his wife made it a point to visit this event all other cross Cape Girardeau.
“It’s just absolutely fantastic. Something we should have done years ago and it’s also nice to be an American, to be in the land of [the] free,” said Adams.
