1 arrested, 3 on the run after stolen vehicle police chase in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – A juvenile was arrested and police are looking for three others after a police chase in Cape Girardeau on Friday, June 2.
Cape Girardeau Police officers received a report of a stolen vehicle from the 300 block of N. Spring around 8 a.m. on Friday. The reporting officer entered the vehicle into the “FLOCK” camera system.
Around 1:15 p.m. officers received an alert from the FLOCK system alerting that the vehicle was in Cape Girardeau.
Officers found the vehicle and tried to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver failed to yield to officers, according to Cape Girardeau police.
Police chased the vehicle. During the chase, police say the driver purposely struck and officer’s vehicle.
Then, near the intersectin of William and Ellis, the suspect vehicle slid into a parking ot and tried to get back on the road purposely striking another police vehicle, according to police.
Officers blocked the vehicle in. The occupants of the vehicle, belived to be juveniles, got out and run from the area.
Officer arrested one of the passengers, a juvenile.
The others three people had not been arrested as of Friday night.
Police gathered evidence and are still investigating.
