New indoor pickleball courts coming to Cape Girardeau
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – New pickleball courts are coming to Cape Girardeau.
The former Thorngate building located at 1515 Independence Street is being repurposed into a pickleball court and car park.
Demolition started over the weekend on the 63,000 square foot project.
One half of the building will house 14 fenced-in climate controlled pickleball only courts.
The remaining half of the building will be called the park.
It will be the community’s only private, highly secured, video monitored, climate-controlled facility designed to store and display automobiles.
Both businesses are scheduled to open by this coming fall.
