Sheriff’s office investigating after 1 man shot, died in Weakley County

MARTIN, Tenn. (KBSI) – The Weakley County Sheriff’s Department is investigating after one man was shot and died.

The Weakley County 911 Center received a 911 call from a resident on Haygood Road in Martin on June 6 at 4:23 a.m. reporting a shooting at the home.

Deputies from the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department arrived on scene at 4:28 a.m. and found a man with a single gunshot wound.

Weakley County EMS responded to the scene.

The victim is identified as 46-year-old Mason Arnold.

He was taken to Nashville to the Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

The sheriff’s office investigator responded to process the scene.

The investigation into this shooting remains ongoing.

No charges have been filed related to this investigation at this time.
