WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (KBSI) – Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man at a bar who had outstanding warrants.

Brent A. Battles was arrested on June 10 for possession of controlled substance and again on June 17 for disorderly conduct.

The June 17, warrant stems from a former incident where Battles falsely made a 911 call knowing he wasn’t in any real danger. Battle has been repeatedly informed about making falsified 911 calls.

“911 services are reserved for true emergencies,” said Willimson County Sheriff Jeff Diederich. “When individuals call 911 for non-emergency needs and continue to do so after being told not to, it poses a risk to public safety.”

Battles was taken to the Williamson County Jail.

His bond is set at $30,000.
