Man accused of arson Paducah hair salon arrested in TN

PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – A man who was arrested in Tennessee faces charges after a fire at a hair salon in Paducah.
The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office responded to a fire at Kut-N-Up located at 3415 Lovelaceville Road at 4:25 a.m. on June 25.
The Lone Oak Fire Department responded and quickly put out the fire.
Fire personnel and deputies realized that the fire was caused by an act of arson. There were also parts of the business that had been ransacked, according to the sheriff’s office.
Money that had been hidden in the business had been stolen.
Richard King, 48, of Graves County was identified as a suspect.
Detectives gathered digital and physical evidence that led to an arrest warrant issued for King.
Richard King was found by the Tennessee Highway Patrol on I-40 and after a chase. He was arrested and taken to the Davidson County Jail in Tennessee.
After King is released from the Davidson County Jail, he will be extradited back to McCracken County where he will be formally charged with arson 2nd degree, burglary 3rd degree and theft by unlawful taking O/$1000.
