Budweiser Clydesdales in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – The Budweiser Clydesdales are in Cape Girardeau from June 29 through July 1.

Clydesdales are some of the largest breeds of horse in the world. weighing up to 2300 pounds.

With a lot of anticipation to meet the large horses, crowds gathered at the library in Cape Girardeau, taking pictures and getting a chance to pet the horse.

“I was really excited because we were driving to go get ice cream and I saw the horse and I told my mom that I really wanted to go see it, so we came and saw it,” said Anika Hopper.

The horses will be in Cape Girardeau as part of their summer tour of the country in support of the Anheuser-Busch Folds of Honor.

The clydesdales will be at Schnucks in Cape Girardeau from noon to 2 p.m. on Friday, June 30 and at the VFW Post 3838 at 1049 N. Kingshighway on Saturday, July 1 from 10 a.m. to noon.
