1 arrested, 1 injured after shooting at Poplar Bluff restaurant

(KBSI) – A man was arrested after woman was shot with a flare gun in Poplar Bluff.
Henry Lindsey, 32, of Poplar Bluff faces charges of assault 1st degree, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm, pending review of the case by the Butler County prosecutor.
Poplar Bluff police officer responded to Hayden’s BBQ in the 800 block of West Maud Street at 8:37 p.m. on Thursday, September 21.
Officers found a 27-year-old Poplar Bluff woman suffering from a single gunshot wound to the abdomen. She was taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment, then later flown to a St. Louis hospital. Her condition is critical, but stable.
The suspect ran from the scene, according to the Poplar Bluff Police Department.
Officers obtained a description of the suspect from the victim.
A short time later, the suspect was fond near the intersection of 8th and Lester Streets.
Lindsey was arrested and taken to the Butler County Jail.
Police say Lindsey and the victim knew each other and may have been involved in a brief relationship.
Evidence at the scene indicated the two were seated at a picnic table on the lot of Hayden’s when the shooting occurred, according to police.
