Grand opening for special education services building in Ullin
ULLIN, Ill. (KBSI) – A new special education services building is opening in southern Illinois.
JAMP River to River Education Center is holding a grand opening on September 25.
The building will have special education programs and cover five counties in Illinois.
JAMP was created in 1965 and provides special education and diagnostic services to children with disabilities in Southern Illinois.
State Senator Dale Fowler came out in support of the ribbon cutting.
State Senator Dale Fowler said “I really appreciate IDA for working along with me and my staff in my office and other legislatures to be able to acquire this facility for only $150,ooo, this is a multimillion-dollar facility.”
The new facility with help well over twenty children and families and bring over 30 new jobs to area.
River To River Education Center will provide special needs services to Johnson, Alexander, Massac and Pulaski counties along with assisting other regional areas.
