Paducah man facing meth charge after tip to McCracken County Sheriff’s detectives

PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – A Paducah man faces drug charges after detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office received information about methamphetamine sales.

Joe E. Hiett, 54, of Paducah faces charges of operating on suspended license and trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine) (>or= 2GMS).

Drug division detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office received information alleging Hiett was selling crystal methamphetamine in and around Paducah.

On September 22, detectives learned that Hiett was on his way to a parking lot at a local business on the Southside of Paducah to sell methamphetamine.

Hiett was arrested about 12:30 p.m. and found to be in possession of crystal methamphetamine that was he allegedly was going to sell. according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.

Hiett taken the McCracken County Regional Jail.

Hiett was out on bond for previous unrelated methamphetamine offenses in McCracken County.
