Mid-America Music Awards to be held in Marion, IL
MARION, Ill. (KBSI) – The Mid America Music awards will host its inaugural year in Marion, Illinois.
On October 5, this event with have 12 different nominees from all over the United States come out and show support.
Angie Wyatt is co-producer of the Mid America Music Awards, and she has partnered with ‘Produce Perform’ to bring the best talent to this amazing event.
“We have invited special guest ‘The 100 women who care’ of Williamson County’ and that night they are going to allow three charities.” Says Wyatt, “We kind of hope they are artful charities or charities promoting music and one charity will walk away with $10,000 dollars that night.”
Lucas Winkler is the owner of Produce Perform, and he says giving back is a big part of this event.
“The opportunity to give back was a huge thing on both of our parts. We wanted to make sure we gave back to the community, back to a non for profit, to just enhance whether it be the community or musicians as a whole,” Lucas Winkler says.
Along with up-and-coming artists there will be some famous well-known stars as well, including Jean Watson, a violinist who played on the Game of Thrones soundtrack.
This Red-Carpet event will have a VIP meet and greet you can purchase tickets for, to meet the stars.
One charity will walk away with $10,000.
The event will be held in downtown Marion, Illinois, on Town Square at the Marion Cultural and Civic Center.
The Red-Carpet VIP meet and greet will be held at 5 p.m., doors open for reserved seating at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m.
