Cape County Alpacas celebrates grand opening

GORDONVILLE, Mo. (KBSI) – Cape County Alpacas welcomed visitors to its grand opening to see, feed, pet, and learn about the 16 alpacas at the farm.

Ellen Kirchdoerfer and her husband recently transformed their cattle farm to raise alpacas.

Kirchdoerfer said she has been pleasantly surprised with the reception the alpacas have received.

“We have been very pleased with the number of people that have been out to see the alpacas, to enjoy them, to touch them, learn more about them,” she said. “It has been quite the surprise of the impact that they’re having on people.”
